We actually live north of the Lake Stevens city limits, in the Marysville School District, but our daughters Rosanna and Caroline attend school as out-of-district students in the Granite Falls School District. Rosanna is a sophomore and has her driver's instruction permit. She enjoys running. Caroline is in 7th grade and likes to shoot baskets, using our basketball hoop system and concrete slab outside of our garage.
The most distinguishing landmark in our area is Mount Pilchuck to the east. Three miles west of our home is one of the Centennial Trail trailheads, one of my favorite places to enjoy our local scenery, either on foot (now in my new asics), or on my bicycle. My favorite place to shop is at the Marysville Fred Meyer store. Our best friends live in Granite Falls and Lake Stevens. Granite Falls is where we go for our Sunday morning church fellowship meeting.
We have a 5th wheel trailer and diesel F250 pickup, and last summer we enjoyed camping in Eastern Washington, Idaho and the Oregon Coast. This year we are planning to camp closer to home: Padilla Bay north of Anacortes and on Whidbey Island.
At the end of March we are also flying to Phoenix to visit close relatives and enjoy the sunshine.
