While in Spokane for the four-day President's Day weekend last month, we had been invited to spend the first two nights in this fabulous house of a married couple with no children. (We'd known them for quite a few years but hadn't been to visit them for a while, and this is their third house in Spokane.)
It is a 1970's era rambler--huge, very well maintained, updated and beautiful! Larry and I had our own bedroom and the girls had their own room. Plus a nice full bathroom just around the corner in the hall to ourselves.
Pretty lamp and flower arrangement in the very spacious entry hall:

"Sun Room" with hot tub:

View of the back yard. Beyond the yard is a park with trails where Larry and I went for a nice walk before dinner on Saturday night.
Another view of the family room:

Family room with door leading into informal dining/kitchen area:

Kitchen/dining: Very large beautiful kitchen! Three or four of my kitchens would fit in this one!

The cute dining nook off the kitchen:

Formal dining room...we didn't eat out here, but I just liked the chandelier and the pretty furniture.

Now for the utility room! You could get lost in it! About 10 of my laundry rooms would fit in here!

It was a really great place to stay with a comfortable bed, yummy food and visiting. So glad to have friends like this!

Isn't it fun to stay at other people's houses and to see how they furnish and decorate...sometimes you can get ideas for your own house. Sounded like you made Spokane a nice trip and time inspite of having to go for a funeral. The young may die the old must die...and so is the progression of life and death. Thanks for sharing all the pictures.
