My husband left this note for me last Thursday. Not a great way to be greeted at 6:30 a.m.! So I called Sears, but they couldn't come until the next day. Grrr.... Thankful for chilly weather, as the fridge seemed pretty warm, I put my food on the deck in bags, baskets and coolers with some ice packs in case the temperature went over 45. Then I checked the phone book and found Appliance Rescue and called them....a man came about noon (to the rescue!) and fixed my fridge. (Ice had built up in the freezer and prevented a fan from turning.) He said he used to work for Sears and that my Sears Kenmore fridge was probably really made by LG, a Korean company. So try to avoid Kenmore appliances. We've had trouble with the freezer icing up, and Sears never was able to fix it during the one-year warranty. (Our fridge is now over a year and a half old.)
Thinking about this experience, I remembered a dumb joke from when I was growing up about a prank call. The caller asks you, "Is your refrigerator running?" So you check, and then respond, "Yes," and the caller says, "Better go catch it then!"( Ha! I would have had to have answered, "No!") Later in the evening last Thursday, the fridge quit again. But Larry unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it re-started. Talked to the repairman on Friday, and he said that apparently re-set it. So far it's been fine...keeping our fingers crossed!

Oh what fun... not! It seems like there's always something that needs fixing!
