What happened to spring? It was easy the past few days to imagine it the middle of January instead of April. Here's the scene early in the afternoon on Friday, April 19:
Looks gloomy at 1 p.m.
Meeting the afternoon bus
Our yard at about 2:30 in the afternoon.

Snowing on the flowers...
Rosanna didn't have track practice, but Caroline did. However, all they did was stretches, as it was snowing too much in Granite Falls for running on the track. So Caroline called me around 3:00 p.m. to come pick her up, and she said her friend Jessica needed a ride home. OK. Jessica lives south of Granite Falls toward Snohomish, and it was really snowing up a storm down that way. Here's what it looked like on the way to Jessica's house:
Capturing the snow and getting it to look right isn't easy, even with a digital camera, but the photo editing software enabled me to adjust the brightness and sharpness, etc., so I could get the photos looking as real as possible. I hope this is the last of our snow!

That's funny; I think everyone posting snow pictures is proof positive that this is not a common thing!
Hi, there! After I received your comment on my blog, I had to come and check your snow pictures out--I think you all got quite a bit more than we did. We live in Silverdale, which is the next town over from Bremerton, and meet with the Clarks on Wednesdays and union Sundays. I think I may have come across your blog before, doing a little “blog-hopping” of my own!
Hope all is well with you and yours; mine were quite disappointed that the snow melted before they could get their snow boots out of the garage!
Wasn't it pretty? Good pictures. You blogging skills are getting great! Love the family picture at the top of your blog too.
Yes, we meet with the Bradys on Wed. nights as well. Sounds like you've already discovered more of the Peninsula than I have, and I've lived on it for over 10 years! :) I love it here, and am glad to know the sentiment is shared by so many; it's really beautiful, even without warm beaches(Hawaii girl here!)!
