Rosanna: Senior Year Memories

Rosanna had quite a busy senior year at Granite Falls High School...
Rosanna also took Photography for both semesters and enjoyed taking many photos around school and around the community. Here's a shot of the high school that she took:

In the spring, the school got this giant rock from a local quarry. It would be re-painted about every week with different messages, such as "happy birthday" to someone. Then in the week before graduation, it was painted to honor the Class of 2010!

Friends...

On the way to the prom, a local photographer took photos of all of the young couples near Lake Stevens (the lake).

Group photo:

Rosanna had a nice part in the last drama production of the year: "Cacophony." (She is in the black dress, left side.)

The cast at the end of the show:

Graduation is almost here!

On the morning of graduation day, I discovered that our yard had been "flamingoed." (Flamingos were kind of the "mascot" of Rosanna's Girl Scout troop!)

Graduation day - Friday, June 4. Rosanna plays in the band with the other senior band members for one last song.

At the conclusion of the number, the seniors shook hands with the band teacher as they left to return to the rest of their classmates.

The principal, Mr. Cahan, speaks:

Finally, the moment came - receiving that hard-won high school diploma!

Shaking hands with the school superintendent:

After everyone had received their diplomas, it was hats off!!

I caught Rosanna and friend afterward...looks like they had found their hats!

Lots and lots of graduation cake--yum!

On the afternoon of Sunday, June 13, we headed to a friend's home for a get together for several seniors who graduated from different schools in the area.

Everyone brought their senior photos:

Here are the five graduates posing with cake and cupcakes!

Each senior got a cute "autograph doggy!"

Rosanna is still working on thank you notes for the many cards and gifts she received. Plus she needs to register for classes at Everett Community College soon, and it's the middle of August already!
