Well, after what seemed like interminable months, we finally know who our next President and Vice-President will be, and my feeling is that of disappointment. But I would have been disappointed no matter who won (McCain or Obama). (I voted for an independent candidate--for variety--this time; four years ago I voted for Bush.) I'm not into political parties (prayer is way more important than politics). Instead, I look at the candidate's experience, leadership ability, character, etc. President-elect Obama's experience, as a mere Senator, has always been questioned, but he does have charisma--a little like President John F. Kennedy. If you threw out the parties, I think I would have been slightly happy with a President McCain and a Vice-President Obama.
The other reason for the let-down, is articles saying that the next President faces the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. (One article's headline is pretty strong: "New President to Inherit Economy from Hell.") I just want my mutual funds to regain their value. (wah!)
So, as we end 2008 and look toward a new year, the only thing we can do is pray and hold onto faith, remembering that God is in control.

Not sure what I feel! Not relief, or happy. Not optimistic, but that would have been the same no matter too. I feel like "season of change" is quite right...and we sure don't know whether for good or bad...or should we say bad or worse. Don't know, but you are so right, God is in control, and this is the situation he allowed to come about. So!!....
