Falling leaves...falling snow...falling rain.... Autumn is transitioning into winter now.
I took this photo of our mountain view last week. Since then, it's been raining a lot, so don't know if the snow is still there or not. We got kind of a tropical storm last week, and tomorrow we're supposed to get hit with an even bigger tropical storm!

There's a lot of variety in the trees, depending on the type...some have almost lost their leaves, some are still in almost full autumn glory (as of yesterday), some still have some green leaves. But after this next storm, there probably won't be much left on the trees!
Already there are a lot of leaves on the ground!
Meanwhile, the newly elected First Family has visited the White House, and are busy with their transition...living accommodations, schools for the girls, etc. This will be the first time since Amy Carter, that there will be young children in the White House!
Today I read a little about the election in a magazine while waiting for my dentist appointment. It appears that another reason McCain lost the election is because he isn't a very good speaker! In contrast, Barack Obama has always been quite the orator. So I guess it will be nice to have a President who can speak well, because Presidents give lots of speeches! One of these days, I'm going to have to listen to one. (I never was around a TV during the campaign days, but there's probably some videos on the Internet, such as YouTube, or something.)
In remembrance of all the veterans today....

Love the pictures. The leaves are amazing this year aren't they? And it seems to be lasting far longer than normal. What amazing beauty!
I love the look of your new blog. Great job.
