The Great Piano Move - Part II

Now the mystery of how we got the piano into our house with only the help of the 13-year-old neighbor girl is solved! First, Rosanna, Caroline, Caroline's friend, and I helped Larry take the borrowed canopy off the truck. (Ouch, ouch!)

Then Larry mercilessly trimmed my rhodies (so they probably won't bloom this spring), and built an ingenious platform which he temporarily attached to our front porch.

Now to back the truck up to the platform:

Getting everything lined up:

Finally, we both got in the truck bed, Larry lifted the piano, and I shoved the moving dolly underneath. Then it was just a matter of rolling the piano onto the ramp, the porch, through the door and into the living room, where we removed the dolly and adjusted the piano into position.

All done!
