Finished Breaking Dawn last week. The last part of the book was a little boring. It was interesting reading about Bella's vampire strength, but a little boring that she had so much control for a newborn. It was interesting that she discovered and perfected her ability to be a shield, and thus protect everyone against the Volturi, yet boring at the same time. And everyone was so relieved to meet another half human, half vampire who was about 150 years old, so they now knew that Renesmee would be OK...kind of anti-climatic. "And they all lived happily ever after." Yes, the last chapter is called "The Happily Ever After"! Lovely ending to a lovely fantasy, but not much excitement!
Now I'm reading Midnight Sun. It is a rough draft on Stephenie Meyer's website. She put it on her site, after someone else leaked it on the Internet. (Because of that, she doesn't know if she'll ever finish it.) Anyway, it basically seems to follow the story line of Twilight, only from Edward's point of view. You get the full scoop--Edward's thoughts and feelings plus everyone else's--except for Bella's, of course. Edward is pretty puzzled over why he can't hear her thoughts. Also, poor Edward has such a hard time when he first comes in contact with Bella over the scent of her blood. (Bella never knew how close she came to being "eaten!") I've read several chapters so far and don't know how long the draft actually is. It's not as comfy reading a book on the computer screen, so I just read a few chapters here and there.

i love your take on it. I thought it was kind of boring too. It has such an exciting plot it should have been exciting. I want to read Midnight Sun but in book form so I hope she will finish it. I probably will read it online. I read the first page and it seems really really good.
