Anyone who hasn't read Breaking Dawn (book 4 of the Twilight series) and is planning to read it, don't read this post, as I'm going to give away a few details.
I'm so late getting started as I had to wait for my library hold, but now I'm close to the end of the book. A while back I was getting a little impatient, so I read some reviews about the book on Amazon.com, which contained a few "spoilers." So I knew that Bella and Edward did get married and that Bella had a baby. But the reviews didn't say who the father was, and I sort of got the impression that the father was human--or possibly was Jacob, and that the baby was also human. One person's review was really negative, complaining that Bella got everything she wanted, like having your cake and eating it, too. Well, come on, this is a just a story, and a real fantasy story, too--it doesn't have to be realistic! Anyway, the baby is Edward and Bella's, and was a total surprise. Bella supposedly wasn't even thinking about children, and the vampires, even Dr. Cullen, didn't know that a male vampire could father a child. Also, their daughter is the most unusual creation--half human, half vampire and is growing and maturing extremely rapidly. Plus Bella is now a vampire, but able to control her thirst, etc., but perhaps that is her "gift." Also, another huge surprise: Jacob imprints with the baby girl!!! (And nicknames her "Nessie.") Now they are researching to try find out what the life span of a half human, half vampire is, as it looks like the child could be a mature woman at age 4 and die of old age at age 15. So that's where I am right now in the book.
I'll be back when I finish.....

I'm glad your reading it. I read it too. My favorite was Twilight, no question about it. I felt that as the story went on she just wrote to finish the story and wasn't as inspired as she was when she started the series. Anyway, I loved the series and admire anybody that can write that big of book and inspire teenagers to read it.
