Heralds of a Storm

Early this morning there were such beautiful clouds in the sky. (Unfortunately, most of the time, this type of cloud indicates that rain is on the way.)

While driving the girls to school, I noticed a very unusual cloud in the eastern sky. It was sort of a swirly oval shape, blue in the center, and tinged pink around the outside from the sunrise. It made me think of a flying saucer or...maybe the Star Trek Enterprise? Wish I could have taken a photo of it, but I didn't have the camera with me, nor could I stop anywhere.

Looks like cottage cheese! :)
