The run was on trails at the Arlington Airport, and it was quite wet and soggy, except where there was more gravel on the trail. (Temperate was 36 degrees or so.) Still we did fairly well. Rosanna had a time of 28:33, first place in women's ages 15-18 (but the only one in that age group). Larry was second in men's 50-59, out of three, with a time of 30:39. I was 4th in women's ages 40-49, out of 13, with a time of 34:06. The only reason I was 4th, however, is that my running coach (I took an 8-week 5K class this fall) let me finish ahead of her. She did her job as a coach quite well and even doubled back to run with me and encourage me to keep going...'cause I was having trouble keeping up the pace and getting enough oxygen with a stuffy nose. (Plus I was a little tired as I had woke up at 4 a.m. and watched the snow coming down for quite a while before going back to bed for a few more hours!)
I wore this cute pony tail holder that I'd found at Target, so I went "Jingle all the Way!"
This is the cute water bottle everyone got from the coach of the 5K class:
Saturday afternoon and evening the snow started coming down again!

wow I'm not sure I've ever had a race in that much snow! Way to go and for deciding to try the marathon!
