Let's Go Shopping and Have Lunch!

Mom Update: Thanks to all who passed on wishes for my recovery. I'm getting better, little by little, week by week.... To get a little technical, my chiropractor is treating me for a twisted sacroiliac joint. This is seems to be what is causing a lot of my walking problems. Still need one crutch. Have another exam on Tuesday, June 10.

On May 17, on our camping trip, Larry and I visited this lovely cafe and gift shop.

Behind the cafe is an apple orchard...Mount Baker in the distance. The cashier said they grow 25 varieties of apples. In the fall, you can go pick apples, I believe, or buy them freshly picked. Yum!

Lots of cute stuff! I love that sign in the above photo: "You don't have to be crazy to work here. We train you."

And now for the bakery: They make all kinds of yummy stuff with apples...like huge pies! Also there were freshly-made apple cider doughnuts for $1. I had one, and it was delicious! There is a lunch menu, too. Would be fun to run up on some nice sunny day for lunch and a scenic drive!

Pies and all kinds of pastries! Anyone want to join me?

Hi, Shirley! Thanks for stopping by! :) Looks like you've been pretty busy yourself, eh? Glad you're on the road to recovery--your bike experience sounds like exactly the kind of thing I would do! :p

What a cute place you've found in this post! Looks like a place to venture to when summer decides to make its appearance! My 5-year-old has decided she's moving to Hawaii, with or without me!

Anyway, hope this finds you well. By the way, I found another connection we have--Jennifer DeGroot! Well, you know her sister Laurie, and threw her a tupperware bridal shower before she got married! Jennifer and I are great friends, so that was neat to make that connection, as well! Small world, huh? Take care, and have a great week!

Cool pics. I have no idea where that could be at. I miss the little places like this in Washington. Thanks for sharing!
